The Team
Questions and Answers about the Healing Prayer School
What is it like behind the scenes of a Healing Prayer School?
Behind the scenes is prayer! This takes place in different ways:
1. Ron & I meet every week with my support group made up of team members Eluned Hodgkins, Jean Godlonton, Randall and Maggie Staley. We pray not just for the Healing Prayer School but for other related ministries.
2. Two weeks before each school the wider team meet to ask God what is on His heart - this is so that we know the right theme and can choose a title for the week. Then from a teaching base of around 50 lectures I select material to form 18-20 sessions of teaching.
3. Every team member has at least one intercessor praying for them when they are “on team.”
4. I also have a intercessors who pray for my family needs as well as for the ministry.
Apart from prayer, what else happens?
As you would expect, Anita is normally snowed under with administration (!) and preparing resources for the school, which includes copying CD’s and assembling the CD sets.
Once at the location, Malcolm, Ken and my husband Ron get to work organising the physical layout and adding the creative touches that transform it into a conducive/inspiring environment that reflects the chosen theme.
Is the team always the same?
No, the team varies according to who is available. However, it is usually about 15-strong in number. Within a group of around 30 there are a number of regular team members. Many of whom are multi-gifted and teach and/or lead worship as well as pray/minister. This tends to vary outside the UK as often the host team is only able to accommodate, or pay air fares, for a smaller number of people. In these instances I choose the team according to what I think God is saying and after taking into account the needs of the conference.
What happens after a conference?
After every Healing Prayer School the team meets informally to debrief and discuss potential areas of improvement for the next conference.
